Gemstones are not only beautiful but are believed to carry special properties. They have been worn in jewelry for thousand of years. Lapis, Malachite and Carnelian were used by the Egyptians, Emeralds by the Incas, Jade by the Chinese and Turquoise by the Native Americans. Many of these great cultures used gems and minerals for healing and transformation purposes. As diverse and distant as many cultures may have been, they often reached the same conclusions on gemstone properties.
Gemstones make one of the most special gifts that one can be given. When given in love, I believe they become infused with that special caring and charged with the very force of healing. I also do a blessing ceremony for each piece calling in the healing power of the Divine Mother who has gifted us with so much beauty.
